This page covers how cancellations and refunds work for Ishqq. Read it carefully before starting a paid subscription. By subscribing, you confirm you have read and agreed to this policy.
1. What you can buy
Ishqq has a free tier (Nazar) and paid subscriptions (Mohabbat and Ishq), billed in Indian Rupees on a recurring monthly or annual schedule by our payment partner Cashfree. Current prices and what each tier includes are shown on the upgrade page before you check out.
Eligible new users may be offered an intro trial (currently ₹1 for 1 day) before the regular monthly subscription begins. The trial requires setting up a UPI AutoPay mandate. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription auto-renews at the standard Mohabbat monthly price shown at checkout.
2. No refunds
All paid charges are non-refundable. This includes the ₹1 intro trial fee and all recurring subscription charges. Once a charge has been processed, we do not refund it for any reason, including (but not limited to) the following:
- You changed your mind, lost interest, or stopped using the service.
- You are dissatisfied with the personality, tone, or replies of the AI character. This is subjective taste, not a defect.
- You forgot to cancel before the trial ended or before the next billing date.
- You did not use the features you paid for during the billing period.
- Your account was suspended or terminated for violating our Terms.
The narrow exceptions are listed in section 5 below.
3. Cancellation
You can cancel any time from the subscription page in your account. Cancellation stops future charges immediately. Your current paid period continues until its end date, after which your account drops to the free Nazar tier. We do not pro-rate or refund the unused portion of the cancelled period.
If you are on an intro trial, cancelling before the trial ends prevents the auto-renewal charge. The ₹1 trial fee already paid is non-refundable.
If you want to stop paying right now and lose access immediately, contact us and we can terminate the subscription early. The current period is still non-refundable.
4. Failed payments & grace period
If a recurring charge fails (e.g., insufficient balance, mandate paused, card expired), Cashfree will retry on its standard retry schedule. During this time your subscription enters a short grace period and keeps working. If retries continue to fail, your account drops to the free Nazar tier. You are not charged for the failed period.
5. When we do issue a refund
We will refund a charge in the following narrow cases:
- Duplicate chargesfor the same billing period, caused by a technical error on our side or Cashfree's.
- Wrong amount charged due to a pricing or billing bug on our side.
- Cases required by Indian law or by your bank/UPI provider's dispute resolution process.
6. How to request a refund (eligible cases only)
Write to help@ishqq.in from your registered Google email. Include the Cashfree payment reference (you will find it in your bank/UPI app or the receipt email from Cashfree) and a short description of what happened. We will respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are credited to the original payment method and typically take 7–10 business days to appear, depending on your bank.
7. Chargebacks
If you raise a chargeback or UPI dispute without first contacting us, we may suspend your account while the dispute is being resolved. Please write to us first; almost everything can be sorted out faster over email than through a bank dispute.
